data.gov.sg data is used under the Singapore Open Data Licence version 1.0 and credited in every pack. BTOHub.sg is independent and not affiliated with HDB or SLA.
How each number is made
- BTO projects: read from each launch's annex. Every launch's flat count is then checked against the total HDB announced (below).
- Keys: "Completed" when HDB lists the block as completed. For blocks still being built: launch month, plus about 9 months to flat selection, plus HDB's waiting time. We tested the 9 months on 10 projects whose blocks are complete: the real gap was 8 to 11 months. Launches in 2021 and 2022, when HDB gave no waiting time per project, get a wider "rough" range.
- MOP: completion year + 5 for Standard flats and earlier non-mature and mature estate flats; + 10 for Plus, Prime and PLH flats.
- Postal codes: HDB's building file names each street by a code, not by name. We match each code to the street with the same block numbers, only in the same part of Singapore and only where the street's name fits the code. Every postal code must end in its block number.
- Resales and rents: the last 12 months of HDB resale and rental records, counted per block, with medians by flat type.

Postal codes against OneMap
OneMap agrees with 1,209 of the 1,209 postal codes we have looked up there, including a random sample of older blocks. 10 postal codes sit outside their town's usual postal districts, such as the Changi Village flats, which belong to Pasir Ris town.
Known gaps
- HDB no longer hosts the flat-count annexes for the Feb and Nov 2022 launches, so those projects have no flat counts.
- 6 of the newest BTO projects are not on OneMap yet. Their blocks are added once they are.
- 3 later launches share a name with an earlier one (such as Tanjong Tree Residences @ Hougang). OneMap lists their blocks together, so they appear under the earlier launch.
- Keys dates for blocks still being built are estimates. Owners' own dates are in their HDB letters.
- HDB publishes data down to the block. There are no unit numbers or owner details, and we never collect them.
Updates
Resales, rentals and completions every month; BTO projects after each launch in February, June and October. Buyers' download links serve the newest files for 12 months.
